ParkShare ("we", "our", "us") operates the ParkShare mobile application and website (parkshare.cinder-studios.com). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: Email address and password when you create an account.
• Profile information: Name and contact details you choose to provide.
• Listing information: Driveway location (address and coordinates), photos, pricing, and availability you provide when creating a parking listing.
• Payment information: Payment details are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number.
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and interactions within the app to improve our service.
• Device information: Device type, operating system, and browser type.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Facilitate parking spot listings and bookings.
• Process payments through Stripe.
• Send you service-related communications (booking confirmations, messages from other users).
• Improve and personalise our service.
• Comply with legal obligations.

4. Advertising and Analytics

We use Reddit Pixel to track page visits and conversions for advertising purposes. This may collect anonymised browsing data to help us measure ad performance and deliver relevant advertisements. You can opt out of personalised advertising through your browser settings or Reddit's ad preferences.

5. Information Sharing

We may share your information with:

• Other users: Your listing details (location, photos, pricing) are visible to other users. Your email is shared with users you transact with. When you book a spot, its host sees your first name, your number plate and the average rating hosts have given you. A host's review of you is shown only to you and that host; other hosts you book with see only the average and how many reviews it comes from.
• Payment processors: Stripe processes your payment information securely.
• Service providers: Third-party services that help us operate (hosting, email, analytics).
• Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure password hashing, and secure payment processing through Stripe. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

7. Data Retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active, and no longer than we need it. Some information expires sooner than that:

• Messages between riders and hosts, and the conversations that hold them, are deleted 12 months after the last message in the thread.
• In-app notifications are deleted after 90 days.
• Messages you send to our support team are deleted 12 months after the last message in the conversation.

You can delete your account yourself at any time from Settings. Deleting your account removes your personal details, your reviews, your messages and your support requests. Listings that were never booked are removed; a listing with past bookings is taken down and kept as part of that booking record. Your bookings and the payment records attached to them are kept, with your name and contact details removed, because they form part of our financial records. Stripe, our payment provider, keeps its own records of your past payments.

8. Your Rights

Under Australian Privacy law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your personal information.
• Opt out of marketing communications.

9. Children's Privacy

ParkShare is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
